about
wherever is based on a worldwide dating app & social media website of the same name. after first adds any location with more than five characters located there will be capped. this community has a very strong focus on organic interaction and while you're allowed to come up with lines we suggest sticking to a few for where your character is living. you can be creative and come up with lines from around the world if your character's hometown is elsewhere or if your character travels a lot. but your intention when joining wherever should not be to rack up pre-planned lines.
your application: journals are ooc, ooc posts need to contain your character's name, what part of the world they live in, their job, birthday/age and that's it. examples are not required but that does not mean we accept everyone. we're just going to be forward about it: icons, layouts, etc do matter here. resources for these things are listed in the application page to help you if you're unsure but check out other/apps members for guidance.

no wire or other offsite apps: sorry! many communities have gone over why these apps are toxic to communities.

intros: your intros can not be traditional. intros will be focused more about learning about your character when you join. essentially, intros here area amas - and members will ask your character questions instead of the other way around.

activity: you need to post something interactive once a month. instagram posts, playlists, etc. are all welcome. that's not all! you must be participating weekly in commenting intros, updating your flists (removals for out of date flists happen weekly), and showing up to ffas. you can be removed for being dead in the community even if you come around to post once a month.

no faux or claims: no faux-celeb claims, or even minor tiktok star claims. you can have characters that have a tiktok sure but we do not honor any kind of faux claims here.

rejections: rejected apps will be deleted. to put it more simply, if we rejected you we did not feel based on your application that you'd be a good fit for the community. it's possible it was obvious that you didn't read the rules or follow our suggestions in the app post. if you'd really like to join we'd suggest looking around at member journals and accepted applications. as another community put it, if you stick out like a sore thumb we may not feel you'd fit in with the community. this includes icons, layouts, use of caps, etc. we do not answer inquiries about rejections.
